Cornwall VW Wedding Hire on their travels again....
It was so nice to wake up to beating sunshine, maybe summer is here I thought to myself? What better day for a wedding, especially when it was off to one of my favourite wedding venues- Lanyon Manor, Gwinear, Hayle. It was time to head off in Juliet, (having spent the previous day polishing it until I could polish no longer) and meet the lucky couple Tracey & Ian. The drive was a pleasant one before being greeted by Tracey in her stunning dress and then heading off to Falmouth for the ceremony.
ok, you have a choice!
What a fantastic day! I woke up again with the sun beating down and I was ready for an enjoyable day at another wedding- today being Lyndsey and Shaun's big day! The previous day had been a late finish after yet more polishing of Romeo & Juliet after Tracey and Ian's wedding. This time our stunning campers werey were joined by our white Range Rover, and as you have probably guessed by the photos a horse and carriage. Now I have to say, it may have taken alot longer but what a way to arrive. Damian and Juliet had taken on the role of getting Shaun to the pub, I mean church, and then they came to meet myself and Romeo at St Michaels Hotel. It was hear that we met the bridesmaids who had the pleasure of travelling in Romeo & Juliet. Lyndsey meanwhile was fully equipped with mum and dad and heading off in the Range Rover to meet the horse and carriage at the top of Lanner Hill. Once we arrived at the church we eagerly awaited Lyndsey and it was not long before she came trotting down the road. Whilst in the church ceremony we all got our heads together and had a bit of a re-organisation of the cars ready for the cruise back to Falmouth. That is where I was slightly wrong-we actually crusied along in convoy behind the horse and carriage back up to Lanner Hill before going to catch some shots at Pendennis point. Great day, great couple and obviously goes without saying, great transport choices!
Joanne & Adam's big day- Cornwall VW Wedding Hire hit Land End!
It was for to Lands End Hotel to meet Joanne and Adam on their big day and what fantastic weather again! The only downfall was that on the journey, unfortunately alot of flies lost their lives, so it was only respectful to clean up the front of Juliet so they had a good send off! Once Juliet was back to her shiney state we cruised up to Lands End Hotel.
For once it was a nice change to turn up after the ceremony and it was off for some wedding shots-first stop being Sennon. Sennon was its spectacular self and everyone was waving and wishing their congratulations!
From here we took a rather scenic route to Porthcurno beach where I remained in the car park whilst Joanne and Adam led the way to the beach with the photographers. It was then back to the Lands End Hotel to be greeted by the guests for their wedding breakfast. I am sure the rest of the days events were just as fun and friendly as I had had the pleasure of experiencing!
Back in St Ives on 10th June 2013!
Ok, so it was foggy but that did not hold any of us back! It was St Ives and a surprise visit to collect the happy bride to be. Before the ceremony though it was time for a few photos- we then headed off to The Vicarage for the ceremony- Congratulations guys! Romeo was the chosen wedding wheels and in usual style it was a hit with everyone! I know I am biased but can't beat a VW wedding camper in my opinion!
Congratulations to Debbie & Dave!
Spencer & Jo - Pendennis Castle, Falmouth
The wedding of Spencer & Jo took place at Pendennis Castle, Falmouth on Sunday 16th June- it may have been slightly damp but that did not put a damper on the days events, that's for sure! Driver of the day was Damian, who chauffeured Spencer & Jo to this great venue. A fantastic day was had by all-congratulations guys
Chris & Steph Friday 21st June - Cornwall VW Wedding Hire off to Bude
Well, after a quick weather check it was time to cruise on the coastal route to Bude. Travelling in a VW wedding camper has to be the best way to travel I have to say. I was on my way to meet with Steph to transport her, bridesmaids and dad to the lovely Morwenstow Church. What a great, tranquil place! It was then off to Widemouth Bay with Steph & Ian for a few photos. The weather had perked up and was looking good with beautiful skies. What better way to spend your wedding day than to go to Bude Castle for the reception...
